Certainly many of you have already asked what does the name "Oxid" mean. few people know what it is because it is a project still being developed, but i can tell the final objective is something similar to a design enterprise. For now, I can't reveal what are our areas of intervention, but i can tell you what i mean to do.
I want to make a revolution in the arts and communications of portugal, and, who knows, of the world. But mainly in Portugal, where the minds are still limited and the visionnaires close themselves in the stigma of being crucified by the conservative audience, because this country is made by 90% of OLD PEOPLE!
Fortunately, we have a newer generation that in spite of their small size, is no doubt bigger in attitude, in art and in culture. I'm not taking the credit from the old wise people, nor from the old visionnaires, but unfortunately the small percentage of young people with this character is easily taken down by the conservative minds of this country.
And when i talk about this youth, i know many of them give up because they don't see the horizons for their talents. And there goes the cartoonist to barman, the guitarist to Mc Donalds and the writer to a metal workshop.
I don't consider Oxid as a publicity or marketing enterprise. I like best the denomination "Oxid Media & Productions", because the field of action will be extremely large.
The main policy is the care with image. why? because the eye is the sensorial organ that sends the brain the biggest load of information, so, it is logical that the image will be our main "weapon" of communication.
Not exclusively as a mean of publicity of marketing, as i have told before.
I also plan to let these youngsters express their vision, their ideas, and also to spread their horizons.
How? through Workshops, courses, demonstrations, and maybe later, found Oxid's own school.
Through this bet on education, i would be also betting on reinforcing the market of arts and communication, and even reinforcing the boards of oxid itself!
Plans are to integrate art, management and communication into every course, so everybody knows exactly what to do to get their art moving.
I'm sharing this, because i want it to be an example to many enterprises, to many schools, and to many artists.

I hope that this i am creating transmits to thousands what i have learned by myself, after being lost, with many ideas and no means, as many portuguese artists are with the market structure we have nowadays...

Oxid comes to found the anti-market of arts, where the artist is who he/she wants to be and does what he/she wants to do, with a team dedicated to promote his work, with mutual benefit, instead of having a team to mold the artist to the market's standards, in benefit of the team.

Oxid's Website will be on line as soon as it's ready, and is currently being developed. Everything i have been telling you here is the work of a single man, but fortunately i'm getting good partnerships
Before giving jobs and spreading my trust, it's left to know how reliable these partners are.
